Our Matzah is handmade by community members under the strictest Shmurah regulations under the supervision of Badatz Eda Charedit.
Emunah Matzah is handcrafted in Israel’s Gaza Envelope, a region that faces constant challenges yet remains a beacon of faith and resilience. Our Matzah is made with wheat from local fields and water from Jerusalem, bringing together the heart of Israel in every bite.
Yedidya Harush was born in Gush Katif in the Gaza Strip, where his parents settled after being evacuated from the Sinai Peninsula in the 1980s. In 2005, his family was displaced again due to the Disengagement and became founders of Halutza, a community near the Gaza and Egypt borders. Harush later served in the IDF's Paratroopers Brigade, including deployments during Operation Protective Edge in 2014 and the October 2023 Hamas invasion.
Between his military service, Harush built a life in Shlomit, raising a family and working as the Jewish National Fund's liaison for Halutza. Driven by his commitment to southern Israel’s development, he founded the Emunah Matzah Bakery in Netivot, which began operations during Passover in 2022.
"People who buy our matzah are not only get amazing matzah but also fulfill a mitzvah, so the bakery workers can go home knowing they have a place to come back to next season."
By choosing Emunah Matzah, you are doing more than celebrating the holiday of freedom - you are standing with the families of Shlomit, strengthening their village, and fortifying the frontlines of Israel’s survival. Together, we honor the past, embrace the present, and support a future built on faith, resilience, and the enduring connection between the Jewish people and their land.
